We are still working on the band block for the Lake Erie Monsters Game, but any freshmen or sophomore students who would like to attend the game as spectators (IMP covers these tickets) should sign up in the band hallway. Students planning to participate in the parade at Cedar Point should bring in $25 for their ticket before the end of September. Any checks can be made payable to the IMP.
If you or your family are interested in attending the Buckeye Invitational or the Lake Erie Monsters Game, please see the fliers below for pre-sale information. Also below are itineraries for OSU and Cedar Point.
Thank you for continuing to support your student's participation in the Tiger Band!
Welcome to the last week of August 2017!
This week is basically business as usual for the Tiger Band. We have regular rehearsal on Thursday night from
6:30 - 9 (Percussion 6 - 9) and a home game on Friday night. Doors for Friday will be at 5:30.
Music testing this week is Tiger Rag Extension and then Band Director's Choice on the remaining band cheers (Scare Tactics, Apache, Happy, Bang Bang, Hey Baby, Hey Song, Band Cheer #2 & #4). Juniors and Seniors need to test by Tuesday in order to get full credit and Freshmen and Sophomores need to test by Thursday. Students are responsible for testing their music on time and communicating with their assigned director if they have any questions or testing issues.
Looking forward to another great week with the Tiger Band!
Welcome back to our first full week of the 2017-18 school year!
This week begins music testing for marching band. This week students should be prepared to test some new band cheers - Seven Nation Army (stay tuned for cuts), Single Ladies and Super Bass. Juniors and Seniors must test by Tuesday in order to receive full credit and Freshmen and Sophomores must test by Thursday. Flutes & Clarinets should plan to test with Mrs. Culver, Saxophones & Percussion with Ms. Lambert, and all brass players with Mr. Harris and Mr. Cummings. Both the full testing calendar and the rubric we use for music testing can be found on the Google Classroom.
This week we will have our regular Thursday night practice from 6:30 - 9 (Drumline 6 - 9) in the stadium. Doors for the Kent Roosevelt away game this Friday will be at 5pm.
Looking forward to the week!
This past week was an OUTSTANDING musical start to the 2017 season! We can't wait to start putting things together at Price Elementary this coming week. Monday we start rehearsal at 7:30. We will be outside until 11:30, then students will receive a break for a snack/lunch/etc. before sectionals start at 12pm. Students should be finished with all sectionals and music testing by 2pm. Please be sure to send your student with plenty of water!
Please see below to double check the fitting time your student signed up for this coming week. This is for students to try on their BRAND NEW marching band uniform! These will take place at CFHS in the Auditorium. Students MUST bring your shoes & spats for the fittings and please wear a clean, non-sweaty short sleeve T-shirt, shorts and clean socks. If you missed sign ups, please plan to come at 2:30, 3:30 or 4:30 on WEDNESDAY. Thank you for all your patience and support as we get our students into the new uniform. We can't wait to see the band looking all shiny and new!!
Please note there is no longer Freshmen Orientation on Friday, August 11th. The first day of school for Freshmen will be Wednesday, August 16th and the first day for everyone else will be Thursday, August 17th. Link crew commitments TBD.
